1. About Our Services

Maple Paw Studio creates custom digital pet portraits using photographs and information supplied by the customer. Unless otherwise stated, our portraits are digital products and no physical item will be shipped.

2. Customer Photographs

You are responsible for providing clear, suitable photographs of your pet for portrait creation.

You confirm that you own the photographs you submit or otherwise have permission to use them for the creation of your portrait.

If the photographs provided are not suitable for creating a satisfactory portrait, Maple Paw Studio may request additional photographs before work begins.

3. Portrait Style and Customer Instructions

Your portrait will be created according to the portrait style, enhancements, photographs, and instructions selected or provided with your order.

Because each portrait is individually created, some artistic interpretation is inherent in the finished artwork. Maple Paw Studio will make reasonable efforts to preserve your pet's recognizable characteristics while creating the portrait in the selected artistic style.

4. Orders and Payment

Prices displayed on the website are shown in the currency indicated at checkout. Any applicable taxes or additional charges will be displayed where required.

Payment is required when an order is placed unless otherwise stated.

Payments may be processed through a third-party payment provider such as Stripe. Maple Paw Studio does not directly store your complete credit or debit card information.

5. Turnaround Times

Our standard turnaround time is typically within 3 business days after we have received your completed order, payment, suitable reference photographs, and any information required to begin your portrait.

Priority Rush service, when available, provides an initial portrait proof by the next business day and is subject to availability.

Turnaround times refer to the preparation of your initial portrait proof. Final high-resolution files are delivered after you approve your proof.

If additional photographs, information, or clarification are required before or during creation, the turnaround period may be paused until the requested materials or information are received.

Customer response time, proof approval, and requested revisions are not included in the stated turnaround time. We will make reasonable efforts to communicate any significant delay.

6. Proof Approval and Revisions

You will receive a proof of your portrait for review before the final high-resolution file is delivered.

Each portrait includes one complimentary revision round for reasonable adjustments to the existing artwork. This may include minor changes to colour, background treatment, or finishing details.

A revision does not include changing to a different portrait style, replacing the original reference photograph with a substantially different photograph, or requesting a complete recreation of the portrait after work has been completed.

Requests outside the included revision may require an additional fee. If an additional fee applies, you will be informed before further work is undertaken.

If we are awaiting your response, approval, additional photographs, or other requested information, your order will remain on hold until we hear from you. Any time spent awaiting your response is not included in the stated turnaround time.

7. Cancellations and Refunds

Because each portrait is custom-made specifically for the customer, cancellation requests should be submitted as soon as possible.

If portrait creation has not yet begun, you may contact Maple Paw Studio to request cancellation and a refund.

Once work on your custom portrait has begun, the order is generally considered final and non-refundable because time and creative work have already been committed specifically to your order.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits any cancellation, refund, or other rights you may have under applicable consumer-protection law.

8. Digital File Delivery

Once your portrait has been approved, the final high-resolution digital file will be made available for download. Any additional digital files included with your purchase will be delivered at the same time or as otherwise stated.

Your final files will remain available for download for 30 days following delivery. You are responsible for downloading and securely saving your files during this period.

Maple Paw Studio cannot guarantee that customer files will remain available after the 30-day download period.

9. Personal Use of Your Portrait

Your purchase gives you permission to use the finished portrait for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may download, print, display, share, and give copies of the portrait as personal gifts.

You may not resell, license, commercially reproduce, distribute for commercial purposes, or otherwise commercially exploit the artwork without prior written permission from Maple Paw Studio.

10. Portfolio and Marketing Use

Purchasing a portrait does not automatically give Maple Paw Studio permission to use your submitted pet photographs or finished portrait for promotional purposes.

During the ordering process, you may separately choose whether Maple Paw Studio may feature your submitted pet photograph(s) and finished portrait in our website portfolio, social media, advertising, or other promotional materials.

Where permission is granted, Maple Paw Studio may retain the selected reference photograph used for the artwork together with the approved finished portrait for portfolio and marketing purposes.

Choosing not to provide this permission will not affect your order or the service you receive.

11. Printing and Colour Variations

Digital images may appear slightly different across monitors, phones, tablets, and other displays because of differences in screen settings and colour calibration.

Printed results may also vary depending on the printer, printing service, paper, ink, materials, and settings used. Maple Paw Studio cannot guarantee the colour accuracy or quality of products produced by third-party printing services.

12. Website and Service Availability

We make reasonable efforts to keep our website and services available and functioning properly, but uninterrupted availability cannot be guaranteed.

Maple Paw Studio is not responsible for delays or interruptions caused by circumstances reasonably beyond our control, including internet or hosting outages, third-party service interruptions, payment-processing issues, or other technical problems.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Maple Paw Studio will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from the use of our website, services, or digital files.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions periodically to reflect changes to our services, business practices, or legal requirements. When changes are made, the Last Updated date at the top of this page will be revised.
